Privacy Policy

💙 The short version: Pilldora stores all your medication data on your device only. We do not sell your data, share it with third parties, or upload it to any server. Your health information stays completely private.
1. Who We Are
Pilldora is developed by Technolica, Inc., a Delaware corporation based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Contact us at privacy@pilldora.com.
2. What Data We Collect
Stored only on your device (never uploaded):
- Medication names, dosages, and schedules
- Dose history and pill counts
- Profile information (name, date of birth, blood type, allergies)
- Doctor and pharmacy contact information
- Notification preferences
Stored in our secure cloud:
- Your email address - used only for sign-in authentication
- Your subscription status (free or premium)
We never collect: location data, usage analytics, behavioral data, or advertising identifiers.
3. AI Features
When you scan a medication label or check interactions, images and medication names are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. No personally identifiable information is included. Data is not stored by Anthropic. See anthropic.com/privacy.
4. Third-Party Services
- Firebase (Google) - authentication and subscription management
- Anthropic - AI label scanning and interaction checking
- RevenueCat - subscription and payment management
- SendGrid - sign-in emails
5. Data Retention
We retain data as follows:
- Medication data — stored only on your device. Deleted immediately when you uninstall the app. We do not retain this data on any server.
- Email address — retained in Firebase Authentication for as long as your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion request.
- Subscription status — retained in Firestore for as long as your account is active. Deleted within 30 days of account deletion request.
- AI scan data — images and medication names sent to Anthropic's API are not stored or retained by Anthropic or Pilldora.
- Email logs — sign-in email logs retained by SendGrid for up to 30 days for deliverability purposes.
To request deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us at privacy@pilldora.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
6. Your Rights
- Access - all data is visible in the app at all times
- Delete - uninstalling removes all local data. To delete your account, email privacy@pilldora.com
- Export - use the Share Report feature to export your medication information
7. Children's Privacy
Pilldora is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
